The Mountain Winery is an historic vineyard located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains of Northern California. Renowned for its summer concert series for the past 60 years, its stunning views and peaceful elegance make it a gorgeous location to escape to with friends and family alike all year round. It’s minutes away, worlds apart.
Participants will be led by New York’s finest improvisers in an exploration of theatre exercises and games, illustrating the basic philosophy and rules of improvisation: Saying YES, Active Listening, and Making your Partner Look Good….all while having fun! This workshop can be taken for fun, as an extension to current theatrical training or any other purposes.
Volunteers play an important role in Hakone Gardens' success, and we invite you to contribute your time and skills to helping us. Volunteers assist as docents all year round, providing tours of the gardens for school groups, garden clubs, corporate groups, and many other individual groups. Hakone's success depends a lot on such dedicated volunteers who give many hours of dedication.

Saratoga's Hakone Gardens is the oldest Japanese-style garden in the Western Hemisphere. Hakone is nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Under the guidance of Rev. Ito, learn traditional Rinzai-Zen meditation workshop. Rev. Ito is a resident Buddhist priest from the Myofukuji Temple, Kyoto. He has been teaching at Hakone for 14 years.
Come help us at the beautiful Saratoga Library. We need volunteers to help our staff. Adults and teens will keep shelves in order, do simple processing tasks, and others. Depending on the task, you can volunteer once, once a week, once a month, or more.
